One of my favorite motivational stories about the importance of attitude is about two stone carvers. As they labored in the hot sun one day someone asked them what they were doing.

The first worker replied: I am cutting stones

The second worker replied: I am building a cathedral

In another favorite story 2 marketers were sent out to a new country to decide if it would be a good place to open a shoe store.

The first person replied: No opportunity here, they don't wear shoes

The second person said: This is an untapped market, they all need us!

I can't tell you how many times I hear one of two things:

The market is over-saturated, there are so many demos in this area

OR

No one crafts here, they haven't even heard of Stampin'Up!

And I know you have heard people say: My customers only make cards. I always ask, well, have you shown them the Banner Kit or Burlap Wreath Kit?  And the answer is no, the only like to make cards.

In all of life, and certainly in our direct sales business, we are most limited by what we see.

We see limits

We see the past

We see obstacles

Only when we see possibilities are we able to really grow in our business.

So today, take one of those tough looks inside.

Are you limiting yourself, your business, your future?

What can you see differently, where can you envision possibility, where can you shift your mind from stone cutting to cathedral building?

THERE is your opportunity

Make Money

Have Fun

Change Your Little Corner of the World
