I am certain that at some point you have heard the saying:
"If you do what you have always done you will get what you always got"
OR
"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different result"
It sounds good
It sounds right
But when it comes to your direct sales business it is a big lie.
When I started my business almost 14 years ago, I did workshops, a lot of workshops.
Today?
I can't remember the last time I did a workshop
And if my business relied on workshops, I would have a dead business.
Business has changed
MY business has changed
Change is inevitable
And if we think we can do the same thing we did 14, 10, 5 or even last year, and continue to get amazing results we will find ourselves in a struggling business.
So rather than be upset, disappointed or confused as to why what you use to do isn't working, it is time to take a look at what is working.
There is no magic "do this and your business will grow", but take a thoughtful look at YOUR business and track what is profitable, what your customers are excited about, what gets the most bang for your buck. Give those things more attention, more light, more energy.
Try, stretch, change, experiment, be excited by what is possible.
Just because it was the way you use to do business, or what you became comfortable doing in your business, doesn't mean it has a place in your business today.
Be curious
Be courageous
Be excited by the new and possible
